I stayed at this hotel and found it to be comfortable and clean, with spacious rooms, but the plastic modular bathroom was a bit disappointing. The staff was helpful and informative, although one attendant seemed unwilling to assist further. The location was fine, close to nice restaurants but far from subway and bus stops. The dining experience was not exceptional, and the in-room meal was average. Overall, it offered value for money for a culturally specific accommodation experience.

The hotel provided a mix of positives and negatives. While the rooms were spacious, comfy, and clean, the presence of smoke smell was a downside. The view of the river was a nice touch, but the plastic modular bathroom was slightly disappointing.

The hotel's location was convenient, being a 10-minute walk from Kyoto center and near the Keihan rail station. However, noise from thin walls and the need to take taxis due to limited bus/train routes were drawbacks.

The dining experience at the hotel was exceptional, especially notable for the delicious potato croquettes and varied menu options. However, smoked salmon was not up to par.
